A doula is a knowledgeable birth worker who supports laboring women through their journey to becoming a mother. A mother can choose doula support to help her avoid unnecessary interventions or pain medication. Partners can be a great support to moms, but they can get tired or sometimes the mom needs even more hands on deck or just someone with more experience, as well as her partner. The initial consult is free. In it you may ask questions about the services and discuss your particular situation. Should you choose to hire me as your doula, you can expect the following: *Education about creating a birth wish list suited to your needs and preferences *Education about birth classes and relaxing through labor surges (contractions) *2 prenatal visits *$150 discount on birth classes *Attending the duration of the labor (from active stage, until breastfeeding is established, or parents are satisfied). This will include emotional and physical support using acupressure, double hip squeeze, back, scalp, hand and foot massage, aromatherapy, guided meditation, helping with making the environment the way you want it, extra pair of hands, etc... *2 postpartum visits *Typed birth story To book your free consultation, text the number at the bottom of the page stating you'd like a consult.
