By requesting a free consult you will have an opportunity to ask me any questions you have, etc. As a Certified Professional Midwife (homebirth), I care for women as they experience the changes the childbearing year brings, learn to care for themselves, and learn all about the childbearing process. My midwifery services come in different packages. Global maternity care includes: *Prenatal care including monthly prenatal visits until 28 weeks, then biweekly until 34 weeks, and then weekly until baby comes. More visits may be necessary toward the end of the pregnancy depending on how long your little one stays inside. *Being available to contact by email or text for the duration of your pregnancy for any concerns, and on-call for labor 37+ weeks, until 42 weeks or birth of baby. *Prenatal counseling *Postpartum and well-baby care immediately after the birth, a 2 day visit, a 4 day visit, 7-10 day, 2-3 weeks, 4-5 weeks, and 6 weeks *Birth clean up *Doula services *Basic initial and 28 week bloodwork, Rhogam (if needed), Gestational Diabetes screening, Bilirubin check if needed, GBS test (and antibiotics if needed), Newborn Metabolic Screening, 20 week anatomy scan, and if needed, verification of pregnancy and dates. *Birth tub if desired *Basic birth supply kit I use a combination of herbs, homeopathici, oils, and prescription medication, throughout the care, as needed. The purpose of prenatal care is to develop a midwife-client relationship, and encourage you to study and learn for yourself how your body works, how your baby is growing, and how you can best take good care of yourself and your baby. Each visit, we tune into your baby(ies), either spiritually, or via listening to the heartbeat through a doppler or fetoscope. We discuss your questions and concerns. We discuss what is normal and what could be best attended to in another scope of practice. We check to see if your body and the baby are growing steadily, not too fast, and not too slow. When it is Birthday time, we come together to support your specific needs and encourage you to listen to the wisdom within, guiding you in your journey of becoming the mother to this child, second by second, minute by minute, hour by hour. We maintain support throughout the labor, but may recommend additional support from another scope of practice if at any point in the process the situation becomes observingly risky to you or your child.
